In this case, there may have been a build problem in this thorn. If so, rebuilding from scratch will generate this function. -erik On Mon, Jun 11, 2012 at 3:55 PM, Petr Tsatsin <ptsatsin(a)my.fau.edu> wrote: > Yes, I did activate it. > > > On Mon, Jun 11, 2012 at 4:34 PM, Erik Schnetter <schnetter(a)cct.lsu.edu> > wrote: >> >> At run time, the function sf_IdFromName cannot be found. Hello, I've experienced the following problem. I can run einsteintoolkit with my thorn for initial data set up on unigid and it works fine. However when I try to add some refinement levels I'm getting following errors: WARNING level 0 in thorn Bindings processor 5 host nid00073 (line 22159 of /lustre/scratch/yakunin/cactus_dev4/Cactus/configs/bns/bindings/Functions/AliasedFunctions.c): ->WARNING level 0 in thorn Bindings processor 0 host nid00073 (line 22159 of /lustre/scratch/yakunin/cactus_dev4/Cactus/configs/bns/bindings/Functions/AliasedFunctions.c): ->WARNING level 0 in thorn Bindings processor 8 host nid00073 (line 22159 of /lustre/scratch/yakunin/cactus_dev4/Cactus/configs/bns/bindings/Functions/AliasedFunctions.c): -> The function sf_IdFromName has not been provided by any active thorn. The function sf_IdFromName has not been provided by any active thorn. I was wondering if anybody ever had similar problems? Einstein Toolkit Meeting
by Frank Loeffler 11 Jun '12

11 Jun '12

Hi Please consider joining the weekly Einstein Toolkit phone call at 10 am US central time on Mondays. As usual, you can find instructions how to join on the following web site: http://einsteintoolkit.org/community/support/ I short: the number is (+1) 225-578-4942 or (+1) 866-573-0359 and the conference id is 118682#. (Some) topics to discuss: - Time of the next ET workshop (developer); please use http://doodle.com/ritukz79hhuvhben - Location of next ET workshop - We decided to ask for usage of possibly-to-be-depreciated components. Here is a link to the corresponding wiki page: https://docs.einsteintoolkit.org/et-docs/Usage_poll - A lot (!) of tickets are waiting for review [1], please have a look. As usual, feel free to add to this agenda. Activity last week: 14 issues changed and still open, 4 issues closed; - avoid allocting temp memory twice in EOS Omni - CCTK_RegexMatch did not return a distinguishable error condition when the regular expression is invalid - GRHydro: do not use the Slopelimiter function - RotatingSymmetry90 lacked ManualCartesian tensor type support Frank Loeffler [1] https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/query?status=review&col=id&col=summary&col…

Reviewed patches
by Erik Schnetter 11 Jun '12

Frank suggested in the telecon that we review some patches. I just reviewed all patches that were not written by me, and that don't interact with GRHydro (others have more expertise there). Feel free to review some of my patches now... -erik -- Erik Schnetter <schnetter(a)cct.lsu.edu> http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/personal/eschnetter/

Present were: Frank, Philipp, Ian, Erik, Peter, Christian Ott, Josh, Bruno, Roland ET release: * there were still open tickets in review state. Decision made: ** will make timelevels parameters steerable ** will hold GetComponents changes since only "unusual" thorn lists trigger the bug ** slope limiters: leave as they are for the release ** hold patch to handle optional dependencies since it does not affect the distributed thorn lists ** all tickets cleared out now * please look at release notes once they are available * mention failing tests in release notes, warn about broken slope limiters * advertise release to same set of mailing list as last time * make sure to link full release notes on website Testsuites: * there are a number of tests failing. It seems as if they fail on systems using Intel12 based compilers. Need to collect exact build number of compiler (icpc -V) to compare. * failing Exact/KS-tilted test is very likely due to RELTOL=0. Increase RELTOL to 1-12 * ADAxiOdd test failures are in a thorn that is known to produce different results each time it is called (tolerance is 1e-7) * many tests fail on Pandora, Peter is the goto person for this machine * SphericalHarmonicRecon/regression tests fail with 2MPI processes on some machines, mention in release notes * no tests for trestles are present since the machine was down during the last week Misc: * grant Béla Szilágyi write access to PITTNULL code Roland

errors in par files?
by Babiuc-Hamilton, Maria 06 Jun '12

06 Jun '12

Hello, Recently I read "The Einstein Toolkit: A Community" paper and I am trying to run the par files from the directory In the Cactus/par/arXiv\:1111.3344/ It's a very useful paper! I am trying to reproduce some of the results. Could you please help me with the following errors? - parameter file from the kerr directory WARNING[L1,P0] (Cactus): Major error in parameter file 'kerr.par' line 128: Para meter 'CarpetLib::vary_tags' not found WARNING[L1,P0] (Cactus): Major error in parameter file 'kerr.par' line 130: Para meter 'CarpetLib::reduce_mpi_waitall' not found - parameter file from collapse directory Error: Thorn corecollapsecontrol not found Error: Thorn CartesianCoordinates not found thanks, Maria

Present were: Frank, Philipp, Ian, Eloisa, Erik, Peter, Christian Reisswig, Yosef, Bruno, Roland, Tanja * please look at open tickets that require review [1] * we would like to incorporate larger changes earlier in the release cycle, there were concerns that some changes that made it into the Lovelace release might have been rushed * to this end a suggestion was made to move the soft freeze forward in time. The current feeling is that moving the soft freeze to four weeks before the release might be acceptable but that a freeze to early will drive developers to use their own branches and not commit bug fixes to ET * we would like to retire functionality and thorns that are no longer used. Candidates are: ** LegoExcision ** ADM ** ADMMacros. A request was made for a replacement that would offer a C/Fortran function interface to compute eg. the Hamiltonian constraint for a metric in memory. No single replacement was suggested. ** ADMCoupling ** StaticConformal * maintainers are encouraged to look through the current thorn list and flag any thorns that they have not used and do not understand how it works since we would not be able to adequately support them * Erik suggested to re-factor ADMBase and related thorns (TmunuBase, ADM*, HydroBase) to either created version 2 of the thorns or to produce a new non-backwards compatible version * the new thorn would removed unused functionality and change the defaults for parameters that are currently changed to the same non-default value by a majority of users. ** candidates were static conformal metrics, removing the old Tmunu interface ** consensus to create a wiki page to collect suggestions and to query users on the mailing list what they use (see thorns to be retired above) ** FishEye functionality was mentioned as a candiate however it seems that RIT used a (local, private) version of FishEye within the last year. Keep FishEye if it is self-contained and at least one maintainer understands what it does. * Multipatch infrastructure (Interpolate and Coordinates from Llama) is scheduled to be made public in the time frame of a year pending agreement by all original authors. * need to decide on location and time for the upcoming ET workshop in fall. Organize doodle pool for time. * include SphericalHarmonicReconGen in ET: ** needs push by authors to be included ** suggest to create a milestone for it ** want test suite, documentation ** test data is in the works by Nick Taylor ** Nick and Christian also wrote a documentation on the Caltech wiki which will be imported into the thorn Yours, Roland [1] https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/query?status=review&group=component&col=id…

COMPILING /home/nr/mewbing/Cactus/configs/mag.test/bindings/build/EOS_IdealFluid Hi, I have enountered the error below on my machine with Intel 10.1 and stable ET (LoveLace). I've been using my optionlist without any problems with a not-so-long-ago development version of ET. Do you have any hints for this error? I attached my machine configuration.
