CarpetRegrid2 Warnings

Hi All, My BBH simulation produces warnings that look like this: WARNING level 1 from host srvslshpc605.uct.ac.za process 8 while executing schedule bin (none), routine (no thorn)::(no routine) in thorn CarpetRegrid2, file /opt/exp_soft/EinsteinToolkit/Cactus/configs/ET/build/CarpetRegrid2/regrid.cc:389: -> Could not enforce grid structure properties in this round, starting another round Could anyone tell me what this means and how to fix it? CUDA support in McLachlan

Hello all, does McLachlan/Kranc/ET have support for CUDA or only OpenCL? I am mostly asking since I would like to try and see how hard it would be to couple the RHS computation in ML to an existing CUDA PDE framework. Present: Frank, Roland, Eliu, Gwyneth, Peter, Steve, Ian, Bhavesh, Vassilios CT_Elliptic: * NHwave coastal code, would need an elliptic solve be done at every timestep which is a Poisson equation * Steve and Eloisa to interact directly, have the Poisson equation as example in gallery Tickets: * not sure if MoL has been made to work yet, will make minimal revert to make it compile again Website: * will go life with new website * some rendering issues remain. Will try and fix them as we go along. * content discussion on Friday Feb 24th 2017 at 10am CT / 11am ET / 5pm CEST using Google hangout. Frank will send out an hangout URL 15 minutes before Mailing list questions: * try and make sure to identify unanswered ones before the call Test failures: * Roland has to still look into the NaNChecker failures * Roland observed again file corruption on comet and gordon * compact_format is not sufficient to produce processor independent output if splitting in components happens in the x or y direction since then ouput is first by component then in z then in y then in x Roland will host next week's call. 2d Output

Hi, I have tried to switch my output for a simulation to 2D by using the parameter IO::out_xyplane_z = 0 IOASCII::out2D_every = 256 but the output to individual files and .out file are still 1D? The on line documentation for IOutil , Figures 1 and 2 don’t show the pictures of the expected output, so I am not sure what it is meant to look like. I attach my par file and also a sample output file Thanks and Regards Guy

CST stage has become slower

I think the CST stage is now slower than before. I assume this is due to the recent change to the Piraha parser. linker problem on a macosx

Hello, I would really appreciate some help with a relatively simple problem. I am encountering this when trying to compile a simple arrangement on a mac: Undefined symbols for architecture x86_64: "_nullhyperid_carttostereo_", referenced from: _CCTKi_BindingsSchedule_NullHyperID in libthorn_CactusBindings.a(ScheduleNullHyperID.c.o) ld: symbol(s) not found for architecture x86_64 collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status Also, I have a series of warnings: CST warning: -> Scheduling routine ADMBase_Boundaries from thorn ADMBase in non-existent group or timebin MoL_PostStep …. counting number of bytes communicated in Carpet

Hello Erik, all, is there a (simple?) way to output the total amount of data communicated in a run? I tried Carpet::timing and its comm_bytes_count however that one is only set in Carpet/src/Timing.c's EndTimingCommunication function which does not seem to be called anywhere anymore.
