There are a few thorns there that are only experimental. ML_hydro is unfinished. It should probably not be in the official repository...

The On suffix indicates the differentiation order. The standard ML_BSSN thorn uses 4th order finite differencing; there are also second order versions (for nostalgic reason) and eighth order versions.
The MP suffix indicates a multi-patch version. Carpet itself supports multi-patch systems; however, there are no public coordinate systems available for these yet.

Hello,
in the McLachlan repository there are several thorns, e.g.:
ML_BSSN ML_BSSN_MP ML_BSSN_MP_O8 ML_BSSN_O2 ML_BSSN_O8 ML_hydro
Could someone give a description of how they differ?
Thanks,
