Hi Maria,
1) did you explicitly selected the visit plugin to load the data? Sometimes the Pixie format tries to load the data first.
2) Are you able to do an h5ls on the h5-files?
3) What version of Visit are you using - I guess v2.2.0?
4) What version of the plugin are you using?
