Hi, in the meeting minutes I was not able to find what are the citations requested when using the GRHydro thorn. In a previous email Frank listed only this reference:
@Article{Baiotti:2010zf, author = "Baiotti, Luca and Hawke, Ian and Montero, Pedro J. and Rezzolla, Luciano", title = "{A new three-dimensional general-relativistic hydrodynamics code}", journal = "Mem. Soc. Ast. It.", volume = "74", year = "2003", pages = "S210", eprint = "1004.3849", archivePrefix = "arXiv", primaryClass = "gr-qc", SLACcitation = "%%CITATION = 1004.3849;%%" }
while in the Whisky web-page (http://www.whiskycode.org/GetWhisky.html) we actually request to cite the two following papers:
1) Baiotti et al 2005 "Three-dimensional relativistic simulations of rotating neutron-star collapse to a Kerr black hole" Phys. Rev. D71 024035 2) Giacomazzo and Rezzolla 2007 "WhiskyMHD: a new numerical code for general relativistic magnetohydrodynamics" Class. Quant. Grav. 24: S235-S258
Since GRHydro is based on the public version of Whisky I would think that those 2 papers should be the ones to be cited. In this way the main contributors to the public version of Whisky would be acknowledged (including me and Frank, whose names are not included in the reference above).
I also have a couple of questions regarding citation policy:
1) what should we do when submitting letters where we have to limit the number of citations? Would a generic acknowledgment to the Einstein Toolkit (with reference to the web-page) be OK? 2) is there a policy on how to "react" if somebody make use of the Einstein toolkit in scientific papers without citing it?
Thanks, Bruno
P.S.: sorry that I didn't join the telecon on Monday, but I had to attend a seminar at the same time.
