Hello Dennis, all,
further steps:
mkdir /home/etk-user/simulations # NB: lowercase "s"
The used Fluxbox style "LemonSpace" makes the window titles in the taskbar essentially unreadable on my laptop screen since they are white on pale orange. Most other styles are readable. It might be nice to change the style if others have the same problem.
There is no GUI editor installed (xedit does not count :-) ) and we probably don't want to teach all new user how to use vim (though I am all for it).
A nice editor without too much baggage seems to be scite (2MB extra disk space).
Unless of course we want to use Eclipse/Mojave (which at least I have never used before).
Yours, Roland
