I created a mailing list trac@einsteintoolkit.org and plan to move the trac messages to this mailing list in a few days. If you are interested in these rather detailed and higher-volume (than the commits) messages, please subscribe. If you are only interested in the final commits and/or discussions, stay on commits@... and users@...
