Failing tests in release:
- due to compiler/cpu issues
- not quite clear which versions are affected
- happens on both the Jenkins slaves as well as some clusters
- on clusters we see multiple intel compiler version failing (15 seems susceptible). Seems a compiler bug since printf() seems to help.
