Hello,
I am trying to run the configuration compiled with einsteintoolkit.th and the parameter files qc0-mclachlan.par, static_tov and ks-mclachlan.par, on 12 processors with OpenMPI, but I am getting those errors:
qc0-mclachlan.par: WARNING level 0 in thorn CarpetInterp processor 6 host muci-train01.marshall.edu (line 1683 of /home/babiuc/Einstein_Tooklit/Cactus/configs/einsteintoolkit/build/CarpetInterp/interp.cc): -> Grid function "AHFINDERDIRECT::ahmask" has only 1 active time levels on refinement level 1; this is not enough for time interpolation cactus_ks-mclachlan: /home/babiuc/Einstein_Tooklit/Cactus/configs/einsteintoolkit/build/Carpet/helpers.cc:201: int Carpet::Abort(cGH*, int): Assertion `0' failed. The first two parameter files abort the run. The last one keeps the run going until it ends in NaN.
Is there a simple fix for this?
thank you, Maria

I see that you have not received answers to these problems yet.
The AHFinderDirect problem should be solved by a recent change of Frank Löffler. I don't recall whether you have to update your parameter file.
The static_tov.par problem is caused by a fundamental change in which the equation of state is handled. I'm afraid that the documentation has not yet been updated, but you need to change the parameter file. I'm not an expert on this, but I'm sure that others on the list can help out.
The last problem is harmless, you can ignore it. (The weight is never interpolated in time, it is always set pointwise after regridding.) If the run encounters nans then the reason is unrelated; my first guesses would be insufficient resolution near the horizon, problems at the outer boundary, or a problem with the dissipation settings that control the singularity inside the horizon. Where is this parameter file located? Which version of the ET is this?

Actually, I am a bit puzzled by that. Can you please let us know which version of einsteintoolkit.th you use (from trunk or from one of the releases), and if the checkout of AHFinderDirect is up to date?

Assuming you use the release ET_2010_11, you should only have to enable the thorn EOS_Omni in your parameter file. It's a bit more complicated if you happen to use the latest development version.
