Present were: Frank, Roland, Peter, Tanja, Josh
ET workshop: * Cactus virtual machines should be available for download today, they should include all required software, incl. visualization tools. * please test them in particular if you are handling a hands on session * please try and submit your slides before the APS meeting, using the templates provided to ensure a uniform slide layout * the talks should be aimed at beginning graduate students * the hands on analysis example will be a star tracker as described in the schedule * we currently have 2 confirmed invited speakers and are working on the third.
The next phone call will be three (3) weeks from now on April 16th and we will discuss the then upcoming ET release, which is due in May.
Yours, Roland

ET workshop: * overall participant response was that the hands on sessions were more useful than the lecture parts, more focus on hands on sessions was requested * maybe combine NR and GR lectures into one next time * propose to have a similar beginners workshop again next spring (in a different location), but do not tie the developers workshops to a similar schedule * for star tracking hands on: ** start students off with code that has two star moving ** provide information about scheduling (eg. in Cactus talk)
upcoming ET release: * new thorns: ADMMass, SphericalSlice, Outflow, OpenCL support thorns * apply patch in ticket #868 (Bruno) before including OpenMPI thorn * remove thorns from thornlist: EOS_G and sub-eos thorns (not used by anything/anyone), ML_BSSN_O2 and helpers (same effect can be achieved via parameters of ML_BSSN now) * announce removal of: LegoExcision, ADM (will require changes to test suites) * ask Christian Reisswig about SpEC data reader for CCE, SpEC group for example wave data (Roland) * new machines to test on: Forge (Jian Tao), Surveyor (Erik) * testsuites: please have a look at https://docs.einsteintoolkit.org/et-docs/Release_Details and run the testsuites on machines assigned to you * please look at the current release critical bugs https://trac.einsteintoolkit.org/query?status=!closed&milestone=ET_2012_... and fix one if you can * release name: proposal Lovelace (after Ada Lovelace: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ada_Lovelace)
Misc: * Steve will provide Frank with information on unattended Fedora installs for the Cactus VM

The following sequence could be interesting for the next releases, culminating in 2015: Tesla, Hertz, Lorentz, Poincare, Weyl, Minkowski, Einstein.
Cheers, B.
I actually liked the idea of alternating between names of male and female scientists (and I love what you chose for the next release), while your list contains only male scientists...
Cheers, Bruno
