Meudon_Bin_NS initial Data
by Petr Tsatsin 27 Feb '12

Hello, I'm trying to use initial data from Meudon for a binary neutron stars. How do I actually set file names of the files to read from? I was wondering if you could provide some examples of a par files? -- Petr Tsatsin Graduate Student - Department of Physics Charles E. OpenMP "for collapse" directives
by Erik Schnetter 26 Feb '12

26 Feb '12

The OpenMP standard 3.0 (released almost four years ago, already superseded by 3.1) introduced the concept of "collapsed for loop parallelisation". This looks as follows: #pragma omp parallel for collapse(3) for (int k=0; ...) for (int j=0; ...) for (int i=0; ...) { ... loop body... Without the "collapse" directive, only the outermost loop is parallelised. The "collapse" directive specifies that all three loops can be parallelised. This can improve performance, in particular if there are many threads, if the k loop is small, or if the looping region is a very deformed rectangle. -erik -- Erik Schnetter <schnetter(a)cct.lsu.edu> http://www.perimeterinstitute.ca/personal/eschnetter/

Fwd: Flyer Text

Group, Here is a new flyer for the upcoming workshop. I have designed it based upon input on the previous flyer. Please let me know if you would like me to make any revisions to the new flyer. Regards, Dennis Castleberry dcastl2(a)tigers.lsu.edu ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Dennis Castleberry <dcastl2(a)tigers.lsu.edu> Date: Sat, Feb 18, 2012 at 4:44 PM Subject: Re: Flyer Text To: Frank Loeffler <knarf(a)cct.lsu.edu> Frank, I have modified the text in accordance with your revisions, and set it against the background. The resulting image file is attached. Its dimensions fit a letter-sized sheet of paper, so if you print it full-page, you can give any margin specification you like. MoL Arrays
by Christian Reisswig 24 Feb '12

Dear all, I am wondering why MoL does not have support for arrays anymore (the provided functions are all commented out). I guess there is a particular reason for this? Thanks for any hints! Christian

Re: [Users] ETK webpage tutorial not working

Hello, Now the page works. Do you mean that installing Cactus in my laptop should be easier than doing it in a CPU cluster? The first problem I got in the CPU cluster is that hg was not found, and soft add +python, etc can not be done because not installed. Can't I somehow avoid this step? Thanks, Jose 2012/2/21 Frank Loeffler <knarf(a)cct.lsu.edu> > On Tue, Feb 21, 2012 at 04:35:36PM -0800, Jose Fiestas Iquira wrote: > > Is the ETK tutorial for new users not working currently?
